Not long ago, one of last week’s priciest home sales wasn’t a home at all; it was a church and Sunday school.
386 Main St. in Hingham underwent a gut renovation to be the home it is today — a 10-room, 6,490-square-foot residence on 0.56 of an acre. The property, listed by Tara Coveney of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, sold on Tuesday, April 23, for $2,075,000.
An open floor plan joins the kitchen with the living area. The family room features a stone fireplace and a coffered ceiling, while the dining room comes with a butler’s pantry and office. One guest bedroom is on the first floor, while three additional sleeping spaces, including a master suite with a marble bath and walk-in closet, are upstairs. The home offers a total of four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Other highlights include a kitchenette on the lower level, a wine room, a mudroom, a patio, and a three-car garage.
