Malden saw the biggest year-over-year increase in rent, according to a report the Zumper real estate search site released Wednesday — with the median cost of a one-bedroom jumping 14.1 percent in February to $1,860.
Framingham logged the second-biggest increase (13.9 percent), and Everett the third (13 percent). Cambridge, Boston, and Brookline were ranked the most expensive communities for renters. The least costly were Fall River and Worcester, in that order.
The median rent for a one-bedroom unit in Massachusetts was $1,859 in February.
