Many of Boston’s neighborhoods had flat or decreasing median rents in October, with the biggest dips in Dorchester and Roxbury, according to a report Zumper, an apartment-search website, released Tuesday.

Allston had the fastest-growing rent. According to the report, it increased 7.5 percent during the fall quarter, reaching a median cost of $2,150 for a one-bedroom. Dorchester saw a 12.2 percent decrease to $1,800, and Roxbury’s dropped by 11.5 percent to $1,600.

The report measured trends in the area by aggregating data from active listings to calculate the median asking rent.
