Here are 16 Massachusetts cities, ranked by the cost to rent a one-bedroom apartment
A new report details how much it cost to rent in Massachusetts last month.
Cambridge is the most expensive city in Massachusetts for renting a one-bedroom apartment, according to the Zumper Boston Metro Report for June.
The monthly report, which analyzed Zumper’s active rental listings last month, ranks the most and least expensive locales by median cost of rent.
In Massachusetts, Cambridge ranked as the most expensive, with the median rent totaling $2,500, followed by Brookline ($2,320) and Boston ($2,320). Fall River had a median one-bedroom rent of $950, making it the least expensive city included in the ranking.

The median one-bedroom rent in Massachusetts was $1,854 in June, according to the report, which also looked at two-bedroom apartments.
Zumper, a rental listing platform, offers users the ability to filter their searches by categories like location, price, bedroom count, and more. In addition to releasing local rent reports every month, the website also puts out a national rent report that highlights trends across the country.
