What better to go with your new Needham home than a new Mercedes-Benz?
Listed at $2,999,000 after a price increase, 28 Old Farm Road is a six-bed, 5.5-bath home that comes with a luxury vehicle and a 1-year warranty that includes the swimming pool.
“Right now there’s a lot of inventory in the two-and-a-half-million-plus range. If you look at Needham and Wellesley, that inventory is very high right now, so I am trying to make my listing shine,” said Amy Gworek of Williams Raveis Real Estate, who has the listing. As of press time, there were 57 properties at that price point or higher on the market in Wellesley and Needham, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
While wondering how she could highlight the home, Gworek put in a call to someone she knew at a Westwood Mercedes dealership.
“I was like, ‘Oh, why don’t we include a car?’” said Gworek, who clarified that she would not be footing the bill for the vehicle but that the cost of the car would be reconciled at closing.
As to whether the car idea has drummed up attention, Gworek said she has been getting phone calls since coming up with the idea. There will even be a car on hand for the open house. It’s a nice alternative to some of the gimmicks she’s seen at open houses, she said, which range from food trucks to raffles.
“Cars are a luxury,” Gworek continued. “A luxury car and a luxury home seem to make sense to me.”
Measuring 6,845 square feet, including the basement, the home, which was built in 2016, is located in a neighborhood up the street from Cutler Park Reservation and Charles River Peninsula.
A grassy front yard welcomes guests, and the entrance to the Needham home leads to a 197-square-foot foyer. Rich hardwood floors run throughout, while a wide staircase cascades upward. To the left is the formal living room, which measures 207 square feet. Windows stream in natural light under coffered ceilings. The living room is next to the formal dining room, which measures 230 square feet and has a cove ceiling, recessed lights, and picture frame wainscoting.

That space feeds into a kitchen where you’ll find high-end Thermador appliances like a six-burner cooktop and double ovens. A wide island offers seating for eight. Hide your small appliances in the walk-in pantry. A comfortable space off the kitchen serves as a dine-in area with easy access to the back patio.
That informal dining area flows naturally into the family room, home to a cozy fireplace flanked by windows overlooking the yard. The family room also has an entrance to the mudroom, which offers built-in cubbies. Here, a door reveals the 526-square-foot two-car garage, but there’s also closet space and a half bath.

A study behind French doors completes this level.
On the second floor, you’ll find the laundry room and five of the home’s six bedrooms, including a 316-square-foot primary bedroom suite that is particularly luxurious. It has a cove ceiling, a walk-in closet with built-in storage and a window, a beverage center with a wine fridge and coffee nook, and a 213-square-foot bathroom that comes with a whirlpool tub, a double vanity, and a step-in shower.

Head up to the third floor to find the sixth bedroom, a suite equipped with a bathroom that has a step-in shower, two closets, and three skylights. There’s plenty of room for a sitting area in the 733-square-foot suite.

In the basement, you’ll find a 194-square-foot storage closet, as well as several other closets. One room comes with a full bathroom. There’s also plenty of space for a rec room or gym, as well as a room currently functioning as a media space.
Outside, there is a swimming pool and hot tub. Fully fenced in, the yard even has a dog run under trees.
