This week’s Luxury Home of the Week pick sits atop West Newton Hill.
The Tudor at 249 Highland St. in Newton — with four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom — hit the market on Jan. 16 for $3,250,000.
The 3,986-square-foot Tudor on 0.52 of an acre features half-timber and stone details, as well as a Gothic front door. Neda Vander Stoep of Coldwell Banker Realty – Boston has the listing.

Inside the 1925 home, a foyer leads to a living room with a brick, wood-burning fireplace. The sunroom sits past glass pocket doors. On the opposite side of the living room is the dining room, with a bay window, built-ins, and restored natural woodwork.

The modern kitchen shows off white cabinetry with gold hardware, double-thick quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. An oversized island sits at the center, brandishing a six-burner stovetop. The space includes a bar area with a wine fridge, a breakfast nook, and French doors to the two-tiered deck.

This outdoor space boasts a built-in gas grill and overlooks the home’s backyard, which has mature plantings.

All of the bedrooms and full, renovated bathrooms lie on the second floor of this luxury home. The primary bedroom includes access to a private sitting room bordered by windows and a walk-in closet. The en-suite bathroom includes a double vanity and glass-walled shower. This floor also has access to the finished attic space, which could easily be used as a home office or playroom.
