Stone chimneys that reach for the skies with their terra-cotta finale pots make this Tiverton home nothing short of a medieval castle that pops out of rolling Rhode Island landscape.
The royal exterior of the new four-bedroom home at 82 Nonquit Lane makes the modern interior surprising yet inviting. It’s equipped with a teak-and-glass elevator, floating staircases, and a Sonos sound system that reaches every room.
It’s a piece of art,” said Reneé Welchman, the listing agent of the 6.5-bathroom home. “It’s like one of one.”

The 8,008-square-foot mansion, built in 2023 and listed for $4,995,000, hugs its surroundings, which look nothing short of a Monet.
Ponds dot the marshland that runs along the back of the 2.89-acre lot. The views from this luxury home, made for the movies thanks to the Sakonnet River, will stay uninterrupted; protected land runs from the property all the way to the water, Welchman said.
With its gray roof’s sharp corners, triangular window bays, and an elevator shaft that bumps out of the side of the house like a watch tower, the home would make fighters from opposing kingdoms stop in their tracks.

Teak wood in several elements, from the deck to the kitchen cabinets, carries the natural world inside.
The teak contrasts with stainless steel countertops in the commercial-caliber kitchen, which sports two Viking Pro French door ovens and two dishwashers (not to mention a third in the butler’s pantry.)

A teak wine bar anchors the dining room, which a stainless steel breakfast bar separates from the kitchen.
That kitchen, worthy of any “Top Chef” contestant, flows directly into a living room brimming with natural light from expansive windows and glass French doors that open to a deck. The home office, warmed by an earth-toned checkerboard fireplace, also opens up to the deck, which runs the house’s entire width and has a fireplace.

Take the floating stairs — or the see-through elevator that lets riders gaze at the landscape through square windows —to the primary suite, which comes with two bathrooms, an increasingly sought-after feature for some couples.
These bathrooms feature soaking tubs, floating vanities, separate showers, and uninterrupted terrazzo floors that seamlessly transform into shower floors.

The Rhode Island mansion’s lowest level is multi-purpose. It includes a full gym, bathroom, and a transitional space that is wired for an in-home theater. A finished patio sits just outside the level’s French doors.
The Tiverton home is set in a small collection of quiet coastal villages, Welchman said. Yet, at just a 30 minute drive from Providence, it’s within reach for commuters.
“This is for definitely a very particular buyer… someone who’s looking for something that’s original and unique and new,” Welchman said.
