On June 25, a buyer picked up a Beacon Street listing that had not been on the market for a quarter of a century, paying $4,537,000 and making it one of the priciest homes on the Multiple Listing Service that sold last week.

Tracy Campion of Campion & Company Fine Homes Real Estate sold 81 Beacon St., No. 3, a 3,300-square-foot, four-bedroom co-op. The unit encompasses an entire floor of the building and has three full and two half bathrooms.

Built in 1926, the mid-rise building offers concierge service. There is direct elevator access to the unit, which has a formal living room, a formal dining room, and a library with views of the Public Garden, Boston Common, and city skyline.

Other highlights of the unit include an eat-in kitchen, five fireplaces, a laundry room, a live-in superintendent, and storage space.
