At $4.17 million, South End town home with roof deck tops tally of priciest sales

A South End town home with a rooftop deck came out on top of our weekly tally of the priciest sales. It sold for $4,175,000 on Friday, Dec. 14. A 7.55-acre property in Dover took the No. 2 spot; it went the same day for $3,800,000. Two luxury condos round out our list: one downtown that sold for $3,600,000 on Wednesday, the other in Wellesley, which went for $3,100,000 on Monday.

This 1890 town home offers four bedrooms, three full baths, and three partial baths in roughly 3,350 square feet of living space. Highlights include a bow-front double parlor, a rooftop deck with skyline views, and two gas fireplaces: one in a living room with crown molding and hardwood floors, the second in the study, which has a wall of built-ins and access to a deck. The property also comes with a parking spot. The home sold for $4,175,000 on Friday, Dec. 14, according to the listing firm, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

Resting on 7.55 acres, this country manor sold on Friday, Dec. 14, for $3,800,000, according to Realtor.com. The 8,763-square-foot home offers five bedrooms, all with en-suite baths, as well as two half baths. The dining and living rooms are separated only by an elegant columned archway with picture frame molding, and the living room flows into a solarium overlooking the grounds. Additional amenities include an eat-in kitchen with a butler’s pantry, as well as a two-bedroom, two-bath guest house with a greenhouse. With 3,064 square feet of living space, this three-bedroom, three-bath residence in The Belclare Wellesley sold Monday for $3,100,000, according to Realtor.com. The master suite boasts two walk-in closets and a bath with radiant-heat flooring. Amenities provided by the development include concierge service, two garage parking spaces, a fitness center, and a courtyard with grills and gardens. The sale was represented by Rutledge Properties.
