1869 Back Bay town house drops for $6.1 million, is priciest sale

A Millennium Tower unit, a home under construction in Weston, and a farmhouse-style property in Dover also made our list.

An updated 19th-century town house in Back Bay topped our tally of priciest sales from Nov. 16 to Nov. 22, selling for $6,175,000. A unit on the 37th floor of the Millennium Tower that went for $5,000,000 scored the No. 2 spot. A home under construction in Weston and a Dover residence on more than three acres finished out our list, going for $4,380,500 and $3,250,000, respectively. Check them out:

381 Beacon St., Back Bay

Built in 1869, this 11-room town house has been updated to provide modern amenities like smart-home technology without sacrificing the home’s 19th-century charm. This 5,165-square-foot home offers five bedrooms; the fifth is a family room with a Murphy bed and an en-suite bath, according to the listing firm, Campion and Company. The home has 3.5 baths in all. Other highlights include bay windows, multiple wet bars, six fireplaces, a roof deck, an enclosed private garden, and a court with two parking spaces. It sold for $6,175,000 on Nov. 19, according to Realtor.com.

1 Franklin St., Unit 3703, Downtown Crossing

This three-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit is on the 37th floor of the Millennium Tower, which offers resident services that include a private screening room, a lap pool, valet parking, and an owner’s club lounge. The unit’s open-concept layout features 11.8-foot ceilings, wide-plank oak floors, and a kitchen with Calacatta marble counters. Two garage parking spots are included with the 2,222-square-foot property, represented by Michael Doherty of Citylife Real Estate. It sold on Nov. 19 for $5,000,000, according to Realtor.com.

158 Beaver Road, Weston

This five-bedroom shingle and stone house is under construction and “will be ready for late summer occupancy,” according to the listing firm, Benoit Mizner Simon and Co. Real Estate. The 9,800-square-foot home will have 6.5 baths, a family room with a cathedral ceiling, an 850-square-foot deck, a wine cellar with a tasting room, a home theater, a gym, and a sports court. The 1.93-acre property sold for $4,380,500 on Nov. 16.

62 Strawberry Hill St., Dover

With wide-planked pine floors, coffered ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows, this Dover farmhouse-style home offers 9,876 square feet of living space. Highlights of the five-bedroom residence include a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the family room, a mahogany library, and a finished lower level with a wine cellar. Additional amenities include a barn, two mudrooms, a two-car garage, five full baths, and three half baths. The 3.46-acre property sold for $3,250,000 on Nov. 16, according to the listing firm, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
