A 9.41-acre property on the water in Cohasset — boasting 10 bedrooms, a deep-water dock, and a private beach — took the No. 1 spot on our weekly tally of the priciest sales, selling for $12,500,000. A contemporary Back Bay duplex followed, going for $2,679,000. Brookline and Newton homes finished out our list, purchased for $2,600,000 and $2,500,000, respectively.

This 45-room home on the ocean sold for $12,500,000 on Wednesday, according to the listing firm, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Built in 1932, the Georgian Revival has marble and hardwood floors, 13 fireplaces, 10 bedrooms, seven full baths, and four half baths across 20,000 square feet of living space. Resting on 9.41 acres, “The Oaks” offers more than 1,800 feet of ocean frontage, multiple terraces, a tennis court, a pool, a skating pond, a deep-water dock, a private beach, and a heated six-car garage.

It sold for $2,679,000 on Friday, Nov. 9, according to Realtor.com.
