2 Back Bay apartments in same building top list of priciest sales

A Back Bay penthouse and a new Shingle-style home in Wellesley also made our weekly tally.

Back Bay was well represented in our weekly tally of the priciest sales, taking three of the four spots. Two units in the same luxury high-rise topped our list, selling for $5,575,000 and $5,400,000, respectively. A penthouse in a Back Bay brownstone went for $3,750,000, and a new Colonial in Wellesley finished out our list, selling for $3,662,500.

This 12th-floor apartment in the Four Seasons Residences comes with many of the perks of a hotel, including access to a clubroom, gym, pool, and sauna. The four-bedroom, three-bath home sold for $5,575,000 on Wednesday. The 2,733-square-foot Back Bay home was recently renovated and offers a kitchen, with breakfast bar seating, that is open to the dining and living spaces. The unit also comes with two garage parking spots and additional storage.

Two units were combined to create this penthouse in the Four Seasons Residences that sold for $5,400,000 on Wednesday. Offering 2,760 square feet of living space and an open floor plan, this south-facing apartment has three baths and three bedrooms, including a master suite with a walk-in closet. Additional features include a kitchen with high-end appliances, a fireplace, a den with pocket doors, an in-unit laundry room, and picture windows. The home also has access to Four Seasons amenities, two garage parking spaces, and extra storage.

The four-bedroom, three-bath home sold on Friday, Aug. 10 for $3,750,000. The open layout encompasses a kitchen with custom cabinetry and quartz waterfall-edged counters, as well as dining and living areas complete with three skylights and a gas fireplace. The master suite has a large bay window, a marble bath, and a walk-in closet. An in-unit laundry setup and a private roof deck are also included with the property.

This new stone-clad Shingle-style home sits on 0.56 of an acre and sold for $3,662,500 on Monday. The five-bedroom, 7.5-bath home boasts a dining room with a coffered ceiling, hardwood flooring, and a butler’s pantry. The eat-in kitchen is open to a family room with a stone fireplace. The master suite offers double walk-in closets, a fireplace, and full bath. There are also suites on the first and third floors of the  6,874-square-foot home. The finished lower level has a game room, a playroom, an exercise room, and a full bath.
