Beacon Hill property listed ‘as is’ tops priciest sales list
Our modern home in the South End, a beachfront property in Cohasset, and a new farmhouse in Lexington also made our tally.
A Beacon Hill property topped our roundup of priciest sales for the third week in a row. A three-bedroom home billed as “a unique opportunity to own and restore” a prestigious property in Flat of the Hill went for $3,432,500. Not far behind was a modern unit in the South End, which sold for for $3,097,500. Two homes outside the city — a beachfront property in Cohasset and a farmhouse in Lexington — also made our list, selling for $2,860,000 and $2,650,000, respectively.
4 Byron St., Beacon Hill
The building that houses this three-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit was built in 1899 and is just steps from the Public Garden in Beacon Hill’s Flat of the Hill. The 2,842-square-foot home, which was listed in “as is condition,” sold for $3,432,500 on Wednesday. The property, located on the second floor, has a balcony, a private elevator, and parquet flooring. The tenants share heated parking in a garage, but the unit comes with a space at the front door.
126 West Newton St., Unit 1, South End
This new three-level home sold for $3,097,500 on Tuesday. It comes with parking for two cars and a charging station. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit also has hardwood floors, a kitchen with quartz counters and high-end appliances, family and living rooms with gas fireplaces, crown molding, a wet bar, a deck, a private patio, smart-home features, and 2,456 square feet of living space.
41 Hobart Lane, Cohasset
The master suite in this recently renovated 5,593-square-foot home features a deck and ocean views. Another highlight of the home, which sold for $2,860,000 on Tuesday, is the double-sided fireplace that the living room and kitchen/family room share. The residence has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Other features include a four-car garage, deeded beach rights, and a deck with a fire pit. It sits on a 0.57-acre lot.
29 Hayes Lane, Lexington
Built in 2017, this Lexington farmhouse sits on 1.09 acres and sold for $2,650,000 on Monday. It features a master suite with a sitting area, wet bar, fireplace, and two bathrooms. The kitchen offers floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, a walk-in pantry, and high-end appliances. The home has five bedrooms, 6.5 baths, and 7,600 square feet of living space. It sits on a landscaped yard with a patio that’s perfect for entertaining.
