Biggest sales: Wellesley mansion drops for $5.85 million

Topping our weekly roundup of the biggest sales was a Wellesley home with a wine room, bar, theater, and swimming pool. The estate sold for $5,850,000 on Friday, June 22. In fact, all of the properties on this week’s list — in Wellesley, Boston, Weston, and Cambridge — sold for more than $5,000,000.

Built in 1991, this home offers six bedrooms, six full baths, and two half baths. The 6,732-square-foot property sits on a 1.04-acre lot with manicured grounds and a swimming pool. The kitchen is open to a family room with access to the deck. This property also boasts a two-story entrance hall, master suites on the first and second floors, a lounge, a theater, and a gym.
1 Franklin St. Unit 4103, Boston
A corner unit in Downtown Crossing’s Millennium Tower, this three-bedroom spot sold on Friday, June 22, for $5,400,000. The residence also has 3.5 baths and 2,222 square feet of living space. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the Charles River, Boston skyline, and State House from every room and are equipped with electric blinds. The kitchen features a wine fridge and a granite island with a sink. The building provides 24-hour concierge service and security, as well as two valet garage parking spots.
56 Doublet Hill Road, Weston
This Shingle-style property was built in 2002 and updated in 2013. Guests are welcomed in a two-story foyer with a grand staircase. French doors in the dining room open to a deck and the landscaped backyard. The home is comprised of five bedrooms on the second floor, including a master suite with a fireplace and two walk-in closets, 5.5 baths, and 7,393 square feet of living space on 1.68 acres. The lower level offers exercise, play, and laundry rooms. The home sold for $5,300,000 on Wednesday.
22 Craigie St., Cambridge
When the owners renovated this house, they retained some of the details that date to when it was built in 1871, including the molding and the two-over-two windows. The property sold for $5,150,000 on Wednesday. It has seven bedrooms, six baths, and 5,376 square feet of living space on a 0.25-acre lot. Features of the estate include high ceilings and glass doors that connect the south-facing deck and yard to the kitchen, family room, sitting room, and library.
