Many of the homes in our weekly roundup of biggest sales are near the water, whether it be the Charles River or the Marblehead coast. The list, however, is topped by a duplex on Commonwealth Avenue, which went for $5,350,000. Other top sellers include a North Shore residence with a shared dock, a luxury three-bedroom unit on Beacon Street, and a Weston home with a roof deck off the master bedroom.

One of the 53 residences in The Carlton House went off the market Monday. Located steps away from the Esplanade, this floor-through Beacon Street unit went for $4,225,000 on Friday, June 8.
