Biggest sales: Cambridge estate with 7 bedrooms goes for $5 million-plus
The biggest sales of of this week were comprised of properties in Boston, Weston, Brookline, and Cambridge, with selling prices ranging from $2,700,000 to $5,050,000. Victorian-style homes dominated the list, which was rounded out by a residence tucked in the downtown Boston Ritz-Carlton.

68 Sparks St., Cambridge
A Cambridge home that had not been on the market for 64 years sold for more than $5,000,000 on Wednesday. Located near Harvard Square, the property was built in 1894 and includes seven bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a total 5,678 square feet of space. Inside, there is a living room with Corinthian columns, a fireplace, and bay windows; a bookshelf-lined dining room; and a family room outfitted with a cathedral ceiling and a wood-burning stove. High ceilings, hardwood floors, and oversized windows can be found throughout the home. The master bedroom and en suite bathroom, as well as three additional bedrooms and a bathroom make up the second level. The third floor has four bedrooms, a study, and one bathroom.
43 Abbosttsford Road, Brookline
This Victorian-era home is 4,851 square feet in size and made up of four levels of high ceilings, large windows, natural woodwork, and period details. With five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, and an office and art studio on the third floor, the estate in Brookline’s Coolidge Corner sold for $3,275,000 on Wednesday. Outside, a brick patio, front-covered porch, yard, and two-car garage complete the property.
3 Summit Road, Weston
A 6,250-square-foot Weston residence on 6.03 acres of land sold for $3,200,000 on Friday. The property contains four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms. Amenities include a grand fireplace in the living room, a dining room accented by a wall of windows, and a kitchen characterized by white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and soapstone countertops. Each bathroom is dressed in marble or modern tile, and bedrooms include plentiful closet space. Additionally, the master suite features his-and-her closets and bathrooms. Extra spaces include a gym, a den, a lower-level playroom, and a family room with a fireplace and a homework nook.
1 Avery St. Unit 31A, Boston
Nestled inside the Ritz-Carlton hotel downtown, this three-bedroom and three-bathroom unit sold for $2,700,000 on Wednesday. In the 2,242-square-foot residence, a foyer decked out in marble opens into a wraparound living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an eat-in kitchen, and a master bathroom prominently featuring stone. The home brings along some perks of a luxury hotel, including a 24-hour concierge, room service, and housekeeping.
