John Kerry’s Nantucket estate just sold for $17.5 million
Originally listed for $25,000,000, the property has a main residence and a guest cottage.
After being listed for sale for $25,000,000 in June 2016, the Nantucket home of former secretary of state John F. Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, has sold.
The sale price was $17,500,000, according to the Registry of Deeds, and was originally reported by The Inquirer and Mirror of Nantucket.
The property, 5 Hulbert Ave., was built in 1920. The Boston Globe reported in 2016 that there are two main structures: the main house, which offers five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and 5,600 square feet of living space, as well as a guest cottage, built in 1985, which is more than 800 square feet.
The Globe also noted that Teresa Heinz Kerry’s family has owned the property since 1982. The couple married there in 1995.
They bought a property last April on Martha’s Vineyard for $11,750,000.
