Greater Boston’s biggest sales were in the suburbs this week, with a 4,778-square-foot historic home in Cambridge selling for $3,600,000. Other big sales included a Newton Victorian that went for $3,400,000, a new Needham home that sold for $2,649,000, and a Colonial in Belmont that closed at $2,400,000.

Built in 1806, this 4,778-square-foot Colonial with five bedrooms, three full baths, and three half baths sold for $3,600,000 on Friday, Jan. 5. It is set on a 0.41-acre lot. On Friday, Jan. 5, this six-bedroom, 6.5-bath, 6,450-square-foot home on a 1.01-acre parcel sold for $2,649,000.
