Renovated Beacon Hill town house tops biggest sales
Homes in Newton, Beverly, and Wellesley round out our list.
The biggest sales this week spanned four counties in Greater Boston and all have very different styles. In Suffolk County, a Beacon Hill town house sold for $5,750,000, while in Essex County, an oceanfront house in Beverly went for $4,100,000. A new home in Newton (Middlesex County) went for $3,800,000, and a Norfolk County house in Wellesley sold for $2,750,000.

On Monday, Dec. 18, this Beacon Hill town house with five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and 5,343 square feet of living space sold for $5,750,000. Inside, you’ll find lots of renovations, such as tiger maple cabinetry, granite counters, and high-end appliances. The living room offers high ceilings, Venetian-plastered walls, a fireplace with a stone mantel, and built-in bookcases. One garage parking space is included.
155 West St., Beverly
This seven-bedroom, 5.5-bath, 7,363-square-foot waterfront Queen Anne Victorian on a 4.26-acre lot sold for $4,100,000 on Wednesday, Dec. 20. According to the listing, the Beverly Farms home has been restored and now includes a master suite addition and an eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances. The grounds offer a large lawn, mature trees and plantings, and a heated swimming pool facing the ocean.
170 Sargent St., Newton
On Friday, Dec. 15, this new Newton home with six bedrooms, seven full baths, and two half baths in 8,017 square feet of living space sold for $3,800,000. The study offers custom built-ins and a full bath, making it suitable for use as a bedroom suite. The home’s other bedrooms, found on the second floor, all have en-suite baths. Off the kitchen and breakfast area is a family room with two sets of French doors that lead to a bluestone patio and the backyard. The home sits on 0.56 of an acre.

This Shingle-style home in Wellesley with five bedrooms, six full baths, and two half baths in 6,430 square feet sold for $2,750,000 on Friday, Dec. 15. It is set on a 0.48-acre lot. The master suite includes cathedral ceilings, walk-in closets, a fireplace, and s spa-like bath with a soaking tub.
