Big home sale of the week: Wellesley estate on the Charles

Properties in Marblehead, Winchester, and the South End also topped out big sellers list this week.

Charles River views are not only for those in Back Bay and Cambridge. A large Wellesley home set on 2.89 acres with river frontage sold for $3,783,725 this week. But another home with water views got close to that price: A Shingle Style home in Marblehead sold for $3,250,000.

Other big sales included a new home in Winchester and a South End town house, which sold for $3,000,000 and $2,800,000, respectively.
