It is usually hard to beat out a $6,775,000 sale in Downtown Crossing’s Millennium Tower, but this week a Back Bay condo did just that.

A unit in the Hooper Mansion, which was built in 1889 but was recently transformed into luxury condos, sold for $9,000,000.

Other big sales this week include a $3,600,000 single-family in Newton and a $3,560,000 renovated home in Brookline.
