This $4.3 million Back Bay penthouse with views of the Charles River was not the biggest home sale of the week

Boston’s Millennium Tower was not the Millennium Tower that trended on Facebook this week, but it did have quite a large sale: One of the Downtown Crossing building’s penthouses sold for almost $8 million.

A Back Bay condo, a 36th floor Millennium Tower condo, and a Wellesley home also sold for nowhere close to that price tag, but they’re also definitely still worth a peek.

Though not the most expensive sale in the Millennium Tower for the week, this two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 1,486-square-foot unit on the 36th floor sold for $2,825,000 on Tuesday. Along with all the building amenities, the condo has a southwest exposure, meaning the views of the Boston Common and Back Bay are stunning.
