Beautiful Wellesley estate loses to that $11 million condo in this week’s big sales

71 Carisbrooke Road in Wellesley sold for $3,086,500 this week. via MLS

Nobody was going to beat the $11 million sale in Newbury Street this week. It is the biggest sale so far this year, besides (probably) the Millennium Tower penthouse. But a $3 million Wellesley home, this week’s second biggest sale, is still nothing sneeze at. Cambridge also had a pretty big week, with two very different units going for the same price, $2,750,000.

Check them out.

6 Newbury Street, Unit 3, Back Bay, Boston

In one of the biggest home sales of the year thus far, this Back Bay condo with four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, and 6,100 square feet sold for $11,480,000 on May 6, above the neighborhood’s $868,800 median home value. The single-floor unit has direct elevator access, floor-to-ceiling windows, an open concept living/dining room, and wine storage.
