19th century Brookline mansion sold for $2.8 million but a Back Bay condo went for more
There were quite a few home sales in Boston that broke the million dollar mark this week, but a Back Bay condo took the cake. A Brookline Jacobian mansion and a newly constructed Wellesley Shingle-style home didn’t fall too far behind. Check them out.
400 Stuart St, Unit 21E, Back Bay

This three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 1,957-square-foot luxury condo on the 21st floor in Back Bay sold for $3,895,000 on February 23, well above the already high $1.2 million median closing price in the neighborhood. The condo is in the full-service Clarendon building, has views of the entire city, a 24-hour concierge, garage parking, and access to a large roof deck.

On February 22, this newly constructed Shingle-style home in Wellesley, with five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and 6,620 square feet, sold for $2,900,000, which is above the town’s $1.1 million median closing price. The home has a finished third floor, a gym area, a home theatre system, and was crafted with attention to detail.
291 Buckminster Road, Brookline

Last is a seven-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 5,631-square-foot 1897 Jacobean home that sold for $2,750,000 on February 23, above Brookline’s $761,000 median closing price. The home has 12 rooms, period details, a wood-paneled library, landscaped grounds with a perennial garden, and a three-car garage.
