$7.5 million Back Bay penthouse tops the week in big home sales
It is hard to beat out a Back Bay penthouse sale on Beacon Street and this week was no exception. The $7,525,000 sale was the highest in the area for the week, but the suburbs had plenty to brag about, too. Check them out.


On February 12, this five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 4,024-square-foot penthouse sold for $7,525,000, well above Back Bay’s already high $1.2 million median closing price. The three-level condo has direct elevator access, a private roof deck, entertaining rooms, skylights, and amazing views.


This renovated Queen Anne Victorian-style home with six-bedrooms, 4.5-bathrooms, and 7,455-square-feet sold for $3,300,000 on February 16, above Newton’s $865,000 median closing price. The home borders a country club and has an open floor plan, large rooms for entertaining, intricate detail, a large backyard with a carriage house, and a three-car garage.


On February 16, this three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 3,248-square-foot oceanfront home sold for $2,900,000, above Cohasset’s $800,000 median closing price. The completely renovated home has panoramic views, magnificent grounds with a terrace and gardens, high-end appliances, and a marble island.
