It is rare to get a second-story home with views of the Garden and the river, but 95 Beacon Street #6 gets both.

95 Beacon Street #6 is located just a few steps from the Boston Public Garden, giving the resident clear views from the front windows.

But because the current owner remodeled the home in the late 1990s, combining both the front and the back unit on the second floor of the building, the condo can also boast views of the Charles River.

“My client owned the front and the back unit and then she bought the common area and put them together,’’ Frank Celeste, the property’s broker, told Boston.com. “She made it a direct elevator access unit. It’s never been offered for sale because she created it.’’

The two-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,552-square-foot condo with 13-foot ceilings is listed at $3.75 million and takes up the entire second floor of what was once a single-family Beacon Hill home.

When the current owner was doing the renovation, she made sure to keep many of the lavish historic details intact, such as the original drawing room and library, Celeste said.

“Her architect went to the Athenaeum and found original blueprints of the home,’’ Celeste added.

Along with the views, the condo has a chef’s kitchen, an oak-paneled library, bay windows, a lavish master suite with a sitting room, and an original marble fireplace.

“It’s just exquisite,’’ Celeste said. “It’s once of the nicest listings I’ve ever had in 30 years.’’
