Big home sales of the week include two North End condos with crazy views
Beverly and Charlestown also saw notable sales this week.
Two condos in the North End that sold this past week both went for well over the average listing price for the Boston neighborhood. This 1,627-square-foot condo with two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms sold on October 28 for $2,800,000. Though realtor.com says the average home price for the North End is $849,000, multi-million dollar homes are no anomaly. This condo with views of both the water and the city has floor-to-ceiling windows, two balconies, mahogany cabinets in the kitchen, garage and guest parking, and a 24-hour concierge.
343 Commercial St Unit TH18, North End, Boston


On October 29, this three-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, 2,287-square-foot North End condo on Union Wharf sold for $2,725,000, once again well over the average home price in the neighborhood. This condo also has harbor and city views in every room, a private library, a large deck, a fireplace in the living/dining area, and a common pool and roof deck.
43 Haven Way, Beverly


This 6,363-square-foot Colonial Revival home has six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. On October 28, the 1939 home sold for $2,595,000, a sale price that is well above the $407,449 average home price for Beverly. Along with the 4.2 acres of land, this home has private beach access, a formal dining room, a library, an inground pool, a heated three-car garage, and plenty of ocean views.
64 Walker Street, Charlestown, Boston


On October 26, this four-bedroom, 5,300-square-foot Charlestown home sold for $1,950,000. The Zillow Home Value Index reports that the median home value in Charlestown is $641,200, but prices have gone up 12.9 percent over the past year. This Colonial-style home is on a quarter acre of land that includes a patio with a tiered garden, an apple orchard, a greenhouse, and a potting shed. Inside, there’s an elegant living/dining room, a hand-carved bar imported from Ireland, a 1000-bottle wine room and a two-car garage.
