This $2 million Coolidge Corner condo flip was a family project
All the work, from acquisition to renovation to sale, is being handled by different members of one family.
Knowing that Brookline was recently ranked the best suburb in America should make you cringe a little less when a condo has close to a $2 million price tag.
And 39 Fuller Street #1, just a few blocks away from Coolidge Corner, is not your average condo – it’s practically a single-family home.
The five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom condo takes up 3,516 square feet of space on the first two levels of the Fuller Street home.
“[The home got] a full gut renovation, which means that the home was basically stripped of everything,’’ Daniel Matskevich, who is a part of the New Vision Group and does property acquisitions with his brother Lev, said. “The only thing left was the shell and the foundation and then everything inside and out is brand new.’’
Yuriy Matskevich, Lev and Daniel’s dad, is the general contractor and owner of New Vision Group, which builds custom homes and renovations or additions.
Not only did New Vision Group redo the entire interior of this Brookline home, they also renovated the outside, while still keeping the structure.
“It’s actually very popular in Brookline that most houses don’t get knocked down.’’ Daniel said. “Luxury renovations are done because the homes Brookline has are big, so it is worth preserving them and keeping the original details.’’
Lev and Daniel mentioned that the condo has a very large kitchen, one that you would expect in a single-family home, an open-floor concept, a gas fireplace, and garage parking.
One of this unit’s floors is in the basement, which is also unusual, but it has full-sized windows, letting in ample natural light.
