In 2013, 407 Beacon Street sold for $4,850,000, making it one of the most expensive home sales of that year, according to Curbed Boston.

And now, the Back Bay home is back on the market with a listing price of $5,250,000.

The five-level home has six bedrooms, three full and two half bathrooms and 5,391 square feet of living space.

“It’s beautifully renovated and it is a great home for entertaining,’’ Cheryl Marsh, the broker on the property, told Boston.com. The last renovation took place in 2005, according to property records.

Even though the asking price of 407 Beacon Street has jumped nearly half a million dollars in two years, that’s not enough to keep pace with Boston’s red hot luxury market. Whereas $4.85 million was enough to put the home in elite company in 2013, at least 10 homes in Boston have sold above its current asking price of $5.25 million, just since April, according to property records.

On the “garden level’’ there is a bedroom that could be used as an au pair suite with a full bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, living room and three glass doors going out to the patio.

“On the main floor when you walk in you have a beautiful square,’’ Marsh said of the floor above the garden. “There’s a dining room perfect for entertaining and a formal living room, which is south facing, 12-foot ceilings, and a powder room.’’

Up a flight of stairs is the second floor, which has a huge eat-in kitchen, family room, and a powder room.

“There are three floors of entertaining, which is really great,’’ Marsh said.

The third floor is filled with the master suit, including the master bedroom, bathroom, a study and an enormous closest.

There are three bedrooms on the fourth floor, a second laundry room, and a full bathroom.

“The top floor also has a beautiful skylight that drenches the staircase with light,’’ Marsh said.

To boot, there are six marble fireplaces, central air conditioning, and two parking spaces.
