Biggest sales: A 19-room Lexington mansion with a tennis court for $3 million
One of the top sales on the Multiple Listing Service last week was a Lexington Shingle-style mansion that came with two lots and a lot of luxury amenities.
On Oct. 17, 5 John Hosmer Lane left the market for an even $3,000,000. The Pheasant Brook Estates property is listed as a 9,238-square-foot house on 1.51 acres, but that doesn’t include the 3,040 square feet of living space in the finished basement or the nearly 2.5-acre additional lot, which is buildable. The home, which sits on a cul-de-sac, boasts six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms.
The kitchen offers high-end appliances, a dining area open to the family room, an island, and access to an expansive deck that overlooks the backyard and tennis court.
Other highlights of the 19-room home include an elevator, a billiards room, a two-story foyer, a home theater with a projector, a cherry library, a second kitchen on the lower level, a gym, and a game room. Stylish features include French doors and quartersawn oak floors with inlays.
This home also has an attached three-car garage, a backup generator, central air, and a new 11-zone heating system.
The listing agent was Elizabeth Crampton of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
