A good way to envision this home is to think of yourself as “Casey at the Bat” — but with an ending different than a strikeout. In this scenario, Casey hits a triple. (Let’s save the strikeouts for the Yankees.)
Located in Roxbury, this town house has three levels, a private fenced backyard for this unit only with both grass and a paving stone patio, and a hot tub that comes with the house.

From the sidewalk, a wide slab of concrete leads to the two steps of the front porch, where entries to the two units are located. Unit 51 is on the right.
Beyond the front door and to the immediate left is the stairwell to the two upper floors. On the right is the open floor plan that contains the living room in the front with the kitchen adjacent to the rear. Also on this level is a half bath and an exit to the backyard.
The 280-square-foot living room has a pair of double-hung windows on the front exterior wall, and a second pair of the same design on the right exterior wall. Sandwiched between in a column is a gas fireplace topped by a perfect spot for a television. There is thick crown molding and recessed lighting across the ceiling. Flooring here and in the rest of the home is oak.

There is unhindered access into the 160-square-foot kitchen with a long island for four seats. Lighting is from three graceful silvery pendant lights. The island, which provides additional storage, is topped with white quartz, the same material used for the countertops. The island cabinet is white as are the two levels of cabinets. The appliances — including the gas stove — are stainless steel. The backsplash is tile in various shades of gray.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the 22-square-foot half bath with tile flooring and a single vanity with a white sink atop a vanity with a natural wood finish.
A windowed door off the kitchen opens into the backyard.
The stairwell in the living room connects to the second level and a 22-foot-long hallway. The full bath — and laundry closet — are sandwiched between two secondary bedrooms that occupy the front and back of the floor.
The larger of the two bedrooms, at 150 square feet, is in the rear of the house and has a total of five double-hung windows on all three exterior walls. There is thick crown molding, oak flooring, and recessed lighting. The other secondary bedroom, at 102 square feet, is now set up as a home office.

The 50-square-foot full bath has a shower/bath combination behind a curtain. The single vanity is white and topped with granite that has a black with a bit of grey design. The flooring and walls — including the backsplash —are two complimentary colors of gray porcelain tile.
A key feature of this floor is the windowed door in the hallway, which opens to the balcony overlooking Robey Street.

Returning to the stairwell and ascending to the third floor leads to the three-room primary suite, which occupies the entire level.
The bedroom is 360 square feet and has a double-hung window on the rear exterior wall, the perfect spot for the bed. A second window is snuggled into a corner of the room. A comfort-adding addition is the gas fireplace with white mantle that also creates a nice location for a television.

Just off the bedroom is the private bath, which at 69 square feet is a larger iteration of the second-floor bath. There is a white single vanity with a black granite top flecked with gray and white. Porcelain tile covers the flooring, and a shower/bath combination is behind a curtain. The increased size creates room for an in-bath linen closet.
The final space is a 165-square-foot walk-in closet large enough for double-hung windows on two exterior walls. Currently, there are cabinets and built-in shelving lining the walls, along with a desk set underneath one of the windows.

There is an exterior storage shed and two off-street parking spaces.
