Somerville’s Dilboy recreational complex is getting a new neighbor — at least 10 of them, actually.

The Brook Row development of 10 town homes is rising on Alewife Brook Parkway across the street from the city park, which contains a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and Dilboy Stadium.

The homes, including Unit 1B — our Home of the Week — will have three floors. The basement level will have 8-foot ceilings, recessed lighting, and luxury vinyl flooring. It’s designed for entertaining, with a wet bar and space for a refrigerator, and the guest room and bath.

The 130-square-foot guest bedroom is in the rear of the home and offers a pair of windows and a sliding door closet. The full bath features a single vanity topped with quartz and porcelain tile on the floor and in the shower, which has multiple heads.

The storage and mechanical rooms complete this level.

The middle floor — which has 9-foot ceilings — is the high-traffic space. It has an open floor plan totaling 658 square feet that encompasses the kitchen and the living/dining area.

The kitchen will have paneled Fisher & Paykel electric appliances that will help blend with the Shaker-style cabinets. The backsplash, counters, and island top will be quartz. The island will have waterfall edges on both sides, seating for three on the other, and a sink under a trio of pendant lights.

The living/dining area will sit in the front of the home and draw natural light from a five-window bump-out. The flooring here and on the third floor will be white oak.

There will a half bath with a tiled accent wall, porcelain flooring, and a single porcelain sink off the kitchen.

The third floor — which also has 9-foot ceilings — will be dedicated to three of the home’s bedrooms, the laundry closet, and the two full baths.

The primary suite will sit on the opposite side of the building from the parkway. The bedroom will be 113 square feet with recessed lighting, side-by-side closets, and a private 408-square-foot Trex roof deck. The en-suite bath is designed to have a floating double vanity topped with quartz, a porcelain tile floor with radiant heat, a linen closet, and a shower with a porcelain surround, three heads (rain shower!), and a stone bench.

The other bedrooms will range from 78 to 128 square feet. The largest, found on the parkway side of the building, will come with three windows, while the smaller will have two. They will share a bath with a shower/tub combination, a single vanity, a porcelain tile floor, and a porcelain tile shower surround.

The all-electric energy-efficient town home will be built with central air conditioning, Sonos surround integrated ceiling speakers, Lutron smart lighting package, and a single carport space with an electric vehicle charger.

The monthly fee will cover the master insurance, landscaping, snow and refuse removal, reserve funds, and management fee.
