Some contemporary homes present only as squares and rectangles, living spaces with all sharp edges. Not this house. Pointy-cornered geometry still inspires, but curves abound under its triangular outer structure.

The main entrance is up four steps with a metal-wire railing into a covered porch at the base of a turret. To the right, a curvy staircase winds to the second floor; a second entry point into a mudroom with black-and-white zigzag ceramic tile, gray sleek-front cabinetry, and an orange padded bench beckons guests to remove footwear; and a half bath with a black single vanity offers a spot to freshen up.

The main entrance reveals the home’s best feature right away. Straight ahead, a 400-square-foot family room that stretches three stories entices with a stunning wall of windows that have burly white framing that does not detract from the view of the wooded 4.29-acre lot. A slider opens to an extensive wood deck that wraps around the house.

The kitchen boasts a curvy extension of that wall of windows, as well as a peninsula with a concrete waterfall countertop, an induction cooktop, and seating for three. Other highlights include smooth-front white cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances, and white subway and decorative tile with gray grout.

The dining area is on the other side of the family room and shares a 360-square-foot space with the living room. The wall of windows here drops to one story of double-stacked. The dining and living areas also share the warmth of an Art Deco wood-burning fireplace with a stone and tile surround.

The central staircase curves up to a second level with two bedrooms of roughly 165 square feet, a full bath, and an office. One bedroom is a nondescript suite, with four casement windows, a single-door closet, and recessed lighting. The second one, however, wows with a curvy wall of windows that reveal a prow-like section of the house above directing one’s line of sight to the woods. The two bedrooms share a bath with a single vanity topped with a manmade material, a bubble-like light fixture that adds a touch of modern elegance and whimsy, a closet, and a tub/shower combination with a Carrara marble surround. The floor is gray porcelain tile.

One of this 34-year-old home’s showcase features is its owner suite, which takes up the entire third floor — a private oval aerie atop the triangular outer structure with an office at the top of the turret. The office stands out on its own with its light-green conical ceiling framed with crown molding.

The flooring here, as is the case throughout the home, is a honey-colored oak.

The owner suite has an enviable walk-in closet with windows and built-ins, a 238-square-foot bedroom area with a curving wall of windows and a door to a triangular deck, recessed lighting, a window overlooking the interior, and an adjoining bath with recessed lighting, a dual sink floating vanity topped with a manmade material, a soaking tub set before a bank of windows with a view of the woods, a heated towel rack, accent walls of vertical porcelain tile and grasscloth wallpaper, and a separate shower with vertical glass tile and a hexagonal glass tile floor. Most of the flooring in the bathroom is marble tile. The laundry room is on this level.

The home also comes with an unfinished basement with a second laundry setup, as well as a detached two-car garage (but not the Telsa charger).
