From the front door of this nine-unit condo building, it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the largest jewel in Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace — Franklin Park, home to Franklin Park Zoo and William J. Devine Golf Course.
This unit is on the second of three floors in the no-elevator building. Stepping inside the condo, one finds a short hallway with a closet that leads to an open floor plan encompassing the main living areas.
The kitchen is galley style with a bit of nook thrown in. It’s to the left as one enters. It’s demarcated by an island with quartz counters the color of real whipped cream and seating for two. A wall splits off the bulk of the counter, increasing the kitchen prep space. The appliances, including the gas stove, are stainless steel. The cabinets have a durable driftwood-like finish, and illumination comes from pendant and recessed lights. The backsplash is an ash-toned subway tile.
The dining space shares square footage with the living area, which leads to a deck, reached through a slider with French door-like muntins that’s topped by a transom window.
Down a hallway to the condo’s three bedrooms, one finds the first of the unit’s two full baths. Here the white floating vanity is topped with a white quartz countertop. The surround of the tub/shower combo is white and brown tile. The floor is clad in the same brown tile.
On the same side of the hallway is the mechanical room (the unit has a tankless high-efficiency water heater) and space for a stacked laundry setup.
On the opposite side of the hallway are the doors to the two secondary bedrooms. The largest of the pair may get the most natural sunlight of any room in the unit. There are seven windows of varying sizes running from one end to the other in the 188-square-foot space. This bedroom has a closet with double doors. The other bedroom, which is 159 square feet, has a double set of windows and the same type of closet.
The master suite, behind the last door on the left, is 281 square feet. One enters into the narrowest part of the room, which makes for a comfortable sitting area underneath a set of windows. The bed sits farther back in the room, against the rear wall, where light streams through a bay window bump-out.
The room offers a double-doored closet, as well as a walk-through one that connects to the master bath. There’s a shower-tub combination here with a white tile surround. The single vanity is topped with white quartz, and the flooring is tile.
The flooring in the rest of the unit is vinyl that looks like barn wood. The condo has gas heat.
All residents have access to the roof and to the basement, the use of which will be up to the condo association to decide. Pets are allowed. There is one deeded parking space for the unit.
Craig and Anne Galvin of the Galvin Group, a real estate and property management firm in Dorchester, are the listing agents.
