From the street, it looks something like a bird of prey unfurling its wings, an image created by the sharply angled roof and the shoulder-like shed dormers. The roofline makes clear that this home was inspired by the Tudor Revival in the early 20th century.
The first floor offers three traditional spaces (living and dining rooms and a kitchen), plus a 21st-century essential (an office). The living room, a rectangle just inside the front entry, is perfectly positioned for a quick warmup on a cold winter’s night, thanks to the fireplace with wooden mantel and gas insert. The long room ends in a second seating area, ripe for a rest.
The dining room features a chandelier with a plaster medallion, white crown molding, and a chair rail bisecting the lower wall, painted a rich maroon, from the upper, which is a light gray. A slider with a frame stained a rich brown leads to a rear deck.

The kitchen has been renovated. Upgrades include a skylight and a combination of recessed and pendant lights. The extensive cabinetry is cherry, and some of the doors boast opaque-glass fronts. An island with seating for two is topped by sparkling granite, the same stone used on the counters that pass underneath two sets of windows — one of them a bay. The appliances, including the gas stove, are stainless steel. There is a half bath off the kitchen.
The flooring in the main living areas is the original hardwood with a blond finish.
Off the dining room is that modern-day must: a home office. Formed by converting a side porch, the space is fully integrated into the house and is one of its sunniest spots.
The three bedrooms are on the second floor. The master suite, found in the back of the house, has a closet with custom built-ins and a sleeping area big enough for a bed and a pair of chairs. The full bath features an angled high ceiling, a skylight, a single vanity with a stone counter, and a shower with dual heads.
The other two bedrooms are smaller and share a bath with a whirlpool tub.
The basement, clad in laminate flooring laid over a concrete floor, includes the laundry room and an office with drop-down ceilings and aboveground windows. The 0.18-acre property also offers a detached two-car garage and a fenced-in backyard. The heating and air-conditioning systems are new.
