With its farmer’s porch and sharply peaked roof, a passerby could easily mistake this roughly 10-year-old home as a New England farmhouse from another time. Inside, though, it is all 21st century, starting with the wide kitchen and its long speckled-gray granite counters, pendant lights, cabinetry with an antique-white finish, six-burner stainless-steel gas stove with pot filler, pullout spice cabinets, and stone-tile backsplash with medallions. Its dining area fits a table for eight.

From here, step into the great room, where the ceiling soars to 20 feet and the eye travels to the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace with marble surround. To the left is a heated sunroom, with stone-tile flooring, enough space to fit a grand piano, and a cathedral ceiling.

The dining room, which looks out to the farmer’s porch, is capped with a reverse tray ceiling, and the wainscoting and chandelier also impress.

This home has a first-floor master, reached via the great room. Here, the windows look out to the paving-stone patio, basketball court, and flat lawn of the 1.05-acre lot. The master bath has the same cabinetry as the kitchen, a steam shower with multiple heads, and an air-jet tub set underneath a chandelier and bathed in the natural light from a set of windows. The walk-in closet is 23 feet long and has custom shelving.

All the hallmarks of the home’s style are evident in the master, from the tigerwood floors and recessed lighting to the long rectangular windows, which are crowned by transoms on the first floor. A home office with a window seat, a studio, a half bath, and a laundry/mudroom with built-ins complete the first floor.

A broad stairway leads to a second-floor landing overlooking the great room. On this floor are three suites; each bedroom has a sitting room, capacious walk-in closet, and bath. The bonus space above the attached, heated three-car garage includes a kitchenette and full bath.

The finished basement, which adds 1,496 square feet of living space, has a dropped ceiling, a granite-topped wet bar, a temperature-controlled wine room, and a family room.

Diane Matthews and Mary Ellen O’Leary of Premier Properties in Easton are the listing brokers. As of press time, an offer had been accepted on the home.
