A long, winding driveway climbs this 7.33-acre mountaintop property in Stockbridge.
“As you ascend each turn, you feel like you’re getting more and more relaxed,” said Tonia Scalise of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, who has the listing. “One woman was standing in the kitchen and said it felt like she left the world behind.”
Upon reaching the front of the home, you’re met with stunning views of the treetops with the mountains behind them. The front entrance is a covered porch screened by a large tree that frames the view west.

Take a left into the main living room, a 266-square-foot space that features panoramic views of the outdoors through a large, six-pane window. A working, wood-burning fireplace anchors the space, but the 666-square-foot wrap-around front porch with a cantilevered roof will instantly call you outdoors. With easy access from the living room, it’s the perfect space for outdoor dining or just enjoying your morning coffee.

Back inside, the living room flows naturally into the 158-square-foot dining room, which has corner windows and is helmed by a chandelier. There’s a pass-through window into the neighboring 120-square-foot kitchen, which was updated in 2005 and opens to both the living and dining rooms. It features maple cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove and convection oven. A sink features a window overlooking the backyard and faces east for the morning sun.

A door off the kitchen leads into the back mudroom and entry area, as well as a pantry for extra storage.
There is also a 44-square-foot laundry area and a full bathroom on the main level. It features gray tile walls with a gray pedestal sink, a corner shower, and black tile floors. With easy access to the pool, this bathroom’s location is ideal.
Back in the entry foyer, a staircase takes you up to a landing with a pretty view of the yard. Continue to the top, where level two introduces an en-suite bedroom with hardwood floors, a double closet, and a diagonal window. The most unique feature is the built-in platform bed, a throwback to the home’s 1980 construction.
“When you lie in bed, you can look out the window at the stars behind you and above you, or you can look up at that beautiful atrium window,” Scalise said.
The bath on this floor has a walk-in shower, a white, built-in vanity, blue tile flooring, and a skylight.

Another half-flight up brings you to the primary bedroom, a 413-square-foot space that embraces the same hemlock floors and crisp white features as the main floor. Featuring two double closets, the space’s most unique feature is a queen-size platform bed that functions as a meditation or reading space under a skylight. Around the corner, a few steps down lead to a full bathroom, where there’s a tub/shower surrounded by gray tile walls and a sliding glass door. There is an additional bedroom on this level, measuring 129 square feet.
From the top of the three-story atrium looking down on the rest of the home, another half-staircase leads up to a unique retreat in the 76-square-foot loft space. Currently functioning as an exercise room, it features walls of windows.
Back on the main level, descend a half-staircase to the lower level. There, you’ll find a 330-square-foot recreational room that could function as a home office or art studio. A sliding glass door offers easy access to the outdoors, and a full bathroom features white tiling, a white vanity, and a full bathtub and shower.

There are two bedrooms off the rec space, each with a window. They measure 110 and 89 square feet.
In the basement, you’ll find a 140-square-foot hallway that leads to a 649-square-foot utility space. There is also a 64-square-foot room housing the well’s pressure tank and filtration system.
Back on the main level, slip outside from the door at the living and dining room to the wraparound porch, where a few steps down lead to the heated pool. Surrounded by a patio area, it’s ideal for soaking up the sun and the beauty of the outdoor setting.

The home has central air and gas heating systems. Each level has a zone for heating and cooling. The roof was updated six years ago.
The home’s location sits near some of the Berkshires’ most beloved cultural destinations, including Tanglewood and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
“Between all the art galleries, shopping, and dining in Lenox, you are close to everything, but you’re private and secluded,” Scalise said.
