Homes are in high demand. In fact, demand hasn’t been this high since 2007.
On Monday, data from the Commerce Department showed that single-family home sales rose 1.3 percent and in the three months through November, purchases averaged a 720,000 annualized pace — the best three months for demand in 12 years.
Additionally, the report from Bloomberg noted that the increase in demand for new homes is being fueled by historically cheap borrowing costs, the lowest jobless rate since the 1960s, and stronger income growth.
