A swoon-worthy living/dining room is just one of the notable features of this European-designed Beacon Street condominium where Old World luxury meets modern amenities.

Listed for $9,950,000, 128 Beacon St., Unit D, comes with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two half bathrooms, roughly 4,840 square feet of living space, and two tandem garage parking spaces.

“It’s less than a block from the Public Garden and overlooks the Charles River,” said the listing agent, Paul Grover of Robert Paul Properties.

Grover noted that the condo is in a “classic Back Bay building.” It was built in 1899, then converted into condos in 2004, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

The two-level condo features a living/dining room combination with a tray ceiling near the fireplace and large windows. A chandelier hangs over the dining table, and the wood floors are cut in a chevron-like pattern.

“Honestly, I don’t think the picture does it justice,” Grover said. “If you were to step foot in there, you would see it’s even more dramatic.”

The fireplace features a mantel with original details that stretches to the ceiling. What isn’t pictured are the large windows. A particularly wide one played an important role when the current owners moved in, according to Grover. “The owners told me they moved almost all their furniture right in through that dining room window — it was so wide,” he said.

There’s a separate family room with a door that opens to a deck overlooking the Charles, according to Grover.

The kitchen features a large range and a sizable island with bar seating. Black tile stands out against the bright white cabinetry.

The master bedroom features a tray ceiling (one of several in the home), built-in storage, and access to a private courtyard, Grover said.

“What’s really unusual about this unit is there’s direct elevator access and there’s a concierge, but there’s also a totally private entrance on Beacon Street that goes into this unit,” he said. “It’s all just very thoughtful and has a really nice, uplifting feeling throughout.
