The only way to get to this private getaway in Glocester, R.I., is a causeway.

A former bed and breakfast, Blueberry Pointe on the Lake has hit the market for $899,900. It looks out onto the 185-acre Smith and Sayles Reservoir.

The property consists of an 1,848-square-foot Colonial and two 500-square-foot-plus cottages on 2.25 acres abutting Hopkins Woodland Town Forest. Listing agent Carol LaRiviere of Keller Williams calls the property at 115 Sand Dam Road “a private peninsula.’’

A wraparound porch is the highlight of the two-bedroom, two-bath main home, with its panoramic views of the water. The lake is also visible from the living room, thanks to large windows and sliders to the porch.

Features like a second-floor library and wood ceilings bring a sense of “warmth’’ and “tranquility’’ to the lake home, according to LaRiviere. The updated kitchen and bathrooms have granite counters and Italian tile.

The two cottages are nestled in their own coves and each one has a deck overlooking the lake., cathedral ceilings, one bedroom, one full bathroom, and a kitchen.

A private dock is included in the sale.

“This property is ideal for anybody who likes their own privacy and enjoys being on the water,’’ LaRiviere said. “From fishing to boating, you can do it all.’’
