Biggest sales: Manchester-by-the-Sea estate goes for $6 million-plus
Homes in the South End, Back Bay, and Newton round out our weekly top sales list.
Two Boston town houses — in the Back Bay and South End — made our weekly list of biggest luxury sales, selling for $5,210,000 and $3,225,000, respectively. But neither of those properties in the center of the Hub could top the 2.1-acre estate on Coolidge Point in Manchester-by-the Sea, which sold for $6,250,000 on Tuesday. Rounding out the list is a newly renovated home in Newton, which went for $3,125,000.

This waterfront estate is 7,798 square feet of clean lines and classic finishes. The home, which sold for $6,250,000 on Tuesday, has four bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With an additional six rooms, the property offers plenty of multifunctional living space. Outside, scenic views can be taken in on the covered patio, deck, or balcony.
169 Marlborough St. #1, Boston
Renovated in 2012, this four-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit wraps modern amenities around historic details. There is direct elevator access to the 2,743-square-foot town house, which offers high ceilings in the formal dining and living rooms; a master bath with a walk-in shower, soaking tub, and double vanity; and two tandem parking spaces in a heated garage. It sold for $5,210,000 on Tuesday.
4 Ringgold St., Boston
Located in the South End, this 2,958-square-foot town home sold for $3,225,000 on Friday, May 11. On the garden level, there is an updated kitchen with a wet bar that leads into a family room with a skylight, as well as a private deck on the parlor level. With three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, this property’s other perks include a mosaic-tiled master bath, spacious basement storage, hardwood floors, and marble fireplaces.
33 Mossfield Road, Newton
Last, but not least, this recently renovated and expanded 1900 Victorian sold for $3,125,000 on Tuesday. The Newton property was completed in February, and is 7,158 square feet in size. Its four levels contain six bedrooms, five full baths, and two half baths, as well as a kitchen with a breakfast room, a mudroom, and a master suite complete with two walk-in closets and a balcony. The home sits on a 0.42-acre lot.
