OLD LYME, Conn. — A building that was once home to a tavern during the Revolutionary War era is on the market.

Peck Tavern, 1 Sill Lane, was a tavern from the second part of the 1700s through the early 1800s. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, according to The Day, a daily newspaper in eastern Connecticut.

The two-story building is currently a private residence owned by David and Susan Duncan and is listed for $1,195,000.

David Duncan says the various owners of Peck Tavern have added on to the original structure throughout the years, but have kept the soul of the home.
