From the North End to Lexington, the holidays didn’t hinder super pricey home sales
Boston.com rounds up some of the biggest home sales of the week.
Despite the hustle and bustle of the holidays, homebuyers were still busy snapping up some pretty pricey real estate in Greater Boston last week. From downtown Boston, to the Lexington countryside, there were quite a few home sales over $1 million that made us want to rethink our Christmas lists.
18 Bryant Rd, Lexington

New homeowners will surely enjoy looking out over the verdant Lexington countryside in this gorgeous custom-designed home, built in 2012 and featuring a gourmet kitchen, a spacious family room with a gas fireplace, and soaring ceilings.
The Colonial-style home has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and over 6,810 square feet of living space – plenty of room for entertaining. Oh, and did we mention there’s a three-car garage? It sold for $1,892,000.
5 Jackson Ave, North End

Though this stunning Copps Hill penthouse duplex was built in 1899, its recently renovated open concept floor plan will have its new homeowners guessing.
The three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home offers sweeping water views from a roof top deck, exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and stainless steel appliances. The property was snapped up for a cool $1,799,000 on December 29.
39 Bontempo Rd, Newton

This brand new home was energy-star rated, so new homeowners can feel good about enjoying their huge kitchen overlooking a fireplace-furnished family room.
With four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and a deck and patio, this Newton stunner has all the amenities for having a barbecue once spring has sprung. It sold for $1.4 million on December 29.
303 Third St Unit 417, Cambridge

We all know Cambridge is a pretty pricey place to live these days, but when your two-bedroom, two bathroom condo features a pool, fitness room, landscaped courtyard, and a children’s play room, you’re getting a bang for your buck.
Built in 2007, this roomy condo has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an open floor plan. Selling for $1.2 million on December 29, the home is also close to Kendall Square, many restaurants, and the Red Line. A win-win.
