This Thursday, you can see some of the city’s finest urban greenery on the historic Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill annual tour.

The tour, put on by Beacon Hill Garden Club, will give people the opportunity to walk through up to a dozen gardens in the neighborhood that are normally closed off from view either behind walls or houses. This event has been around since the club’s founding in 1928.

All of the gardens on display will be open from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. Before starting your self-guided tour, you can pick up a garden guidebook at the information table at the corner of Charles and Mt. Vernon streets.

Need a little snack while you stroll? Complimentary tea, coffee, lemonade, and cookies will be provided in Moseley Hall at the Church of the Advent.

The event is a fund-raiser for Beacon Hill Garden Club. Tickets are $45 if they are purchased before Thursday and are $55 the day of the event.

You can find more information about the event here.
