A running list of the cost to rent an apartment in Greater Boston cities
Cambridge remains the most expensive place for renters, but which Greater Boston city saw a 15.3 percent year-over-year increase?
The fastest-growing rents can be found in Medford, according to a report a real estate search site released Tuesday, with the median cost of a one-bedroom jumping 15.3 percent year over year in September to $2,180.
Revere logged the second-biggest jump (12.7 percent), and Malden the third (12.1), according to Zumper. Despite those increases, Cambridge, Boston, and Brookline, in that order, remain the most expensive cities for renters. The least costly were Fall River, Brockton, and Worcester.
The median rent for a one-bedroom unit in Massachusetts was $1,962 in September.
