Listing agent and builder Chris Wilmott said he couldn’t find anything like this Brookline estate, so he decided to create it himself.

The 7,450-square-foot mammoth property at 14 Allerton St. Though it was built in 1881, Wilmott restored and renovated the home this year with utility, elegance, and comfort in mind.

A 1-inch water line is dedicated to the master bathroom shower. Homes typically have around 100 amps of electricity, but this one has 400, Wilmott said. The water-heating system is custom designed so you couldn’t run out of hot water if you tried, he added, and the home has a washer and dryer on every level. Twenty of the home’s 23 rooms offer flooring with radiant heat.

There are high-end finishes in every room, Wilmott said, noting that all of the painting was done by hand. “We had every type of tradesman known to man in here.”

The inside was transformed, but Wilmott said the home’s exterior, including all of its historic windows, was carefully restored.

The Queen Anne Victorian also offers smart-home controls (speakers, thermostats, and cameras), and has a Tesla charging station in the garage.

The kitchen has white rhino marble counters, soft-maple cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a nearly $5,000 faucet, he said. The master bath features dual vanities, a soaking tub, and white marble that stretches to the ceiling.

Eight-foot trees line the deck, which is heated and lighted, making it private and great for entertaining.

The cobblestone driveway isn’t finished; a generator needs to be lifted in via crane, because it will have a snow-melt system.

The half-acre lot features landscaping that includes towering 20-foot trees and custom stonework.

The home has seven bedrooms, five full baths, three half baths, and three fireplaces. Lisandra Wilmott has listed it for $12,888,888.
