A running list of the cost to rent an apartment in Greater Boston cities
Prices are climbing in Fall River and slipping in Waltham, according to a report released Tuesday.
Cambridge is the most expensive Eastern Massachusetts city for renters, according to a new report, with Boston coming in second and Brookline third.
The least expensive rents can be found in Fall River and Brockton, but Fall River saw the second-largest increase from August 2018 to August 2019 — 12 percent, according to the Zumper real estate site. Revere experienced the biggest jump (15.3 percent), and Waltham the largest decline (3.7 percent).
The median rent for a one-bedroom unit in Massachusetts was $1,973 in August.
