A $9.2 million, nearly 23-acre Weston estate ranks as priciest sale

A town house-style condo in Bay Village, a renovated Colonial in Lexington, and a Beacon Hill penthouse also made our weekly tally.

A 22.56-acre estate in Weston is the priciest sale on our weekly tally, going for $9,200,000 on Wednesday. A Beacon Hill property that sold for $4,400,000 on Tuesday came in second, followed by a Bay Village condo and a Lexington Colonial that went for $3,200,000 and $2,750,000, respectively.

2 Laxfield Road, Weston

This 22.56-acre estate was named “Laxfield Farms” after the family home in Suffolk, England. The property boasts a main residence built of textured, water-struck brick with a slate roof, leaded-glass diamond-pane windows, and an attached carriage apartment, as well as a stone guest cottage, a field house with offices, and a playhouse inside a refurbished water tower. The property offers a total of 15,031 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, seven full baths, two partial baths, and a 10-car garage. It was sold on Wednesday for $9,200,000, according to the firm that handled the listing and sale, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

101 Chestnut St., Apt. R, Beacon Hill

Located in an Italian Renaissance-style building, this penthouse duplex offers 3,000 square feet of living space. The three-bedroom, 4.5-bath home features a formal living room with a fireplace, deep crown molding, and a Juliet balcony. The dining room boasts a fireplace, wainscot, and built-ins. The master suite offers a fireplace, a dressing room, and two adjoining baths. The property, represented by Milbury and Company, sold for $4,400,000 on Tuesday, according to Realtor.com.

19 Piedmont St., Bay Village

Built in 2015, this town house-style condo offers three bedrooms and 3.5 baths within 2,681 square feet of living space. The open floor plan — which encompasses the living room, dining area, and kitchen — boasts a gas fireplace and french doors leading to a Juliet balcony. The high-end kitchen offers Italian marble counters, a wine fridge, and custom wood cabinets. The property also includes a top-floor lounge area, mahogany roof deck, and garage parking with elevator access. It sold for $3,200,000 on Tuesday, according to Realtor.com.

4 Eliot Road, Lexington

This 5,500-square-foot Colonial on 0.55 of an acre sold Monday for $2,750,000, according to Realtor.com. The home, listed by Suzanne & Company, offers six bedrooms, four full baths, and two half baths. It has been renovated, but period elements were preserved or re-created, such as the millwork and the original turned staircase to the second and third levels.
