Home sales dipped in Massachusetts in September as would-be buyers continue to struggle with an expensive and tight market, the Globe’s Tim Logan reported Wednesday.
The number of single-family houses sold last month fell 8.1 percent from the same period a year prior, according to data from the Warren Group, while condominium sales dropped more, down 14.3 percent.
Prices continued to trend upward in September, although not as quickly as they have in recent months. The median price of single-family home rose 4.7 percent, to $379,450. But the median condo price took a rare dip, down 3.8 percent from last September to $328,000.
