A Belmont Colonial that sold for $3.25 million tops the list of biggest sales

A double apartment in a Cambridge high-rise, a new Winchester home, and a Cohasset Victorian with a harbor view also made our tally.

A Colonial in Belmont that sold for $3,250,000 scored the top spot on our weekly tally of priciest sales. A combined unit in a Cambridge high-rise and a new home in Winchester tied for second, selling for $3,000,000 apiece. A Victorian in Cohasset on 2.23 acres rounded out our list, going for $2,645,000.

356 Marsh St., Belmont

This Colonial boasts 7,429 square feet of living space on 0.41 of an acre and sold for $3,250,000 on Friday, Sept. 7. Previously owned by the builder, the home opens with a two-story foyer and features a four-season sunroom, a parlor with a wood-burning fireplace, a family room with a gas fireplace and built-ins, and a kitchen equipped with custom cabinets, high-end appliances, a breakfast nook, a pantry, a butler’s pantry, and Carrara marble counters. Resting on 2.23 acres near Little Harbor, this 7,395-square-foot Victorian comes with a waterfall, terraces, gardens, an in-ground pool, and a cabana. The property — offering seven bedrooms, five full baths,  and two half baths — sold Wednesday for $2,645,000. The home features molding, seven fireplaces, formal dining and living rooms, French doors, a master suite dressing room, a wood-paneled media room, a game room with a bar, and a sunroom. The estate also comes with an attached guest house.
